In answer to your query, Bob,
yes, it sure does fly! It is painted to represent a Spitfire of 457 (Grey Nurse) squadron of 80 Fighter group in Darwin late in WW2 and bears the codes of Australian Ace Bobby Gibbes DSO DFC*.
I will be interviewing Bobby along with ther members of the sqauadron for the Temora Aviation Museum in the near future.
