This is what I have discovered after a bunch of beating the bushes.
In one file I found NSN 2540-00-840-0022 listed as a replacement for 2540-00-054-7202. Not sure how accurate that is, as it was merely a notation on a sheet.
What I did discover was an OEM part number 10950816 which I believe is a Chrysler Corp number. It was also mentioned as being MS53015-1. The dealer also has them listed as M151 M715 mirrors.
A bit of searching and queries in Google lead me to a supplier in the US that carries OEM old stock parts, willysjeepparts.com in Yuma, AZ.
I think I found the holy grail, as it looks to be correct to me when I compare the CDN3 picture plate from the manual.
The other item I found is the better mirror arm like some have on their M38A1s and M37s, the one with the locking nut. Once again, not sure if this was a replacement or an upgrade to the CF fleet. OEM 110002 or 110012 depending on application.
What do you think?
