Default Boelube- Metalworking lubricant

Good day,

I just discovered a great product for anyone working with metals such as us military vehicle restorers. Perhaps many others have heard of it but putting it up here for those who may not have.

Boelube is great for drilling, tapping, reaming, cutting, and grinding metal. Won't clutter up this post with readily available info but an internet search with "Boelube" will give all the info on this product.

It was a chance discovery. My neighbour, who is a shopfitter, saw me struggling to cut through 6" logs with a rusty bush saw a few weeks ago. He gave me a block of what looks like paraffin but a lot harder and told me to rub it on the blade. The saw then went through the logs like a hot knife through butter.

Since then, I have used it for drilling steel with great results. No coolant required no messy cutting compounds. Haven't used it on the lathe yet but no doubt it will eliminate a lot of mess and waste there.

Hope this is of some interest.
