This is another Vickers and artillery oiler, NOS, dated 1942
Tin is unpainted, shiny metal, (metal is shiny, unblemished, photo is misleading)
I don't know why they would have inserted the tin unpainted into the holder as it seems near impossible to get it out to paint. (Thoughts from any of our knowledgeable members?)
Some time ago I saw another WWII oiler also in leather holder NOS and also unpainted as well.
The tins are occasionally offered, but with the leather holders they are rare, and in top condition even more rare.
This is in NOS condition, but as I'm unsure of paint situation.
