Rob bought a couple of these telephone boxes the last time we were out. I have been looking at them and passing them up until he showed me the inside label and it had an image of a candlestick receiver on it. That had me hooked as I already had the candlestick receiver so now I needed the phone!
When I was cleaning the items up I realized my candlestick receiver had a data plate on it. Turns out it’s Royal Canadian Air Force. It also had a headset wrapped around it with a Bakelite on/off switch and on the headset was a microphone and earpiece to receive calls so I’m thinking I have a pile of mismatched parts here!!!
The label in the phone box shows a hanging receiver where mine does not, instead it has a metal push to talk toggle on the side. Not sure what it had so you could hear the call!
Another mystery!
Anyone know what I have here???
