Lets totally add (derail) this thread! I think the C59 and C69 blocks are the only ones that you can probably have confidence in boring out past the .060  , without liners. 
These motors though, as far as I know are from 1946 onwards , so depending on whether you are too concerned about trying to keep with the year of motor 
that , for instance a Carrier or CMP came out with, the 99 mercury blocks are normally the ones to go for, and these can usually be bored to the upper limits
