That could indeed be the case. According to the Clive Law's "Drive to Victory" of the F60S-DRCK "503 complete vehicles delivered overseas and 139 bodies". So another possibility could be that one of the spare bodies was fitted to a C60S in the field?
The main entry on p.166 for the "Engineers Winch and Derrick Lorry" has listed the manufacturer as Ford with vehicle code F60S-DRCK. But under "Variants" is listed: "also manufactured by General Motors - Model 8442 - Engineer's Lorry - 3-ton, 4x, 134-inch wheelbase". And the book indeed shows a C60S Cab 13 with 4H5 or 4H6 body with fixed sides.
Also attached is a picture with of a C60S Cab 12 with 4H1 or 4H2 body with the hinged sides.
So, I have adjusted my view on the Derrick body only being put on the Ford F60S chassis, and I'll keep looking for more info on this interesting CMP variant.
