Bad luck with the engine block....... is the engine an original 216 or has it been changed ????? ...... are you planning to weld it to save the original block .....or look for a replacement????
I guess your next step will be a complete dis-assembly of the engine......... would be nice to see a few pictures and some comments on what else you find......
