Default Or cast one or buy one

Hi Bob

Back in 1978 when I first restored my HUP the Bow Tie Badge was missing. This of course before shopping online. So I borrowed a Bow Tie Emblem made several impressions of it plaster of paris and cast one out of lead. Then returned the original to the owner who I borrowed it from. The casting looked so good it is still on the HUP don't think anyone has ever noticed. To me it is symbol of the restoration process.

By the way you really have to let the plaster paris dry completely, several days, I rushed the first lead cast pouring the lead into the plaster while it was damp it of course shattered the mold.

Another source to buy new reproduction https://www.classicparts.com/1936-38...ctinfo/59-017/ afraid shipping will be more than the part.

Cheers Phil
