Default Another one goes to a new home. 1941 F60L

I purchased this 1941 F60L as a cab chassis back in about 1996 from the Wagga Wagga Truck Wreckers. It came with a large quantity of new spare pares and is obviously a low mileage truck. It has Ford Script fanbelts and its original exhaust system with curved ends on the muffler.

I also acquired the Recuperator Service Body from Hughes Trading of Coburg about the same time and united them. Unfortunately it was well down on the list for restoration and I made the decision to pass it on to another owner.

Originally fitted with engine No. 2G38743F it was being set up by a previous owner to tour Australia. On the left there is a fuel tank from a short wheel base GMC 6x6 as well as the original on the right. It was fitted with brand new 11.00x20. tyres.

The chassis has an army extension at the rear which allowed the Recuperator body to bolt straight on to the extended chassis with the u-bolts from the workshop body originally fitted to it.

Here is photo of the recuperator body on a Cab 13.
