Attilio,
"La Revanche" was part of the Free French 1st Independent Tank Company (1re Compagnie Autonome de chars de combat), which combined with the Moroccan Spahis "Field Regiment" (Regiment de Marche de Spahis Maroccains) to form the "Free French Flying Column". This formation functioned as a quasi-independent flank guard/pursuit force for the 8th Army from Alamein on, and was incorporated into the Free French 2nd Armoured Division after the fighting in Tunisia finished.
The 5cm PaK on the Revanche was probably captured at Alamein or early in the pursuit. They certainly kept her until Tunisia.
The Free French had an amazing array of such improvised weapons. If you take into account Leclerc's independent "Force L", they mounted anything from 4.5" howitzers to 40mm Bofors to 75mm French field guns on trucks, not to mention upgunning their Marmon-Herringtons with 25mm French ATGs. An amazingly colourful bunch.
I'm attaching another view of the Revanche- sadly I cannot remember where I got the photo.
Happy New Year!
