The picture of the fire extinguisher reminded me of a question I've asked before. Now that carbon tetrachloride is a no-no, is there a modern replacement fluid that can be used to refill these extinguishers and make them functional? It's all very well to have a decorative extinguisher, but it has always worried me that, in the event of a fire, someone might waste precious seconds trying to make an empty extinguisher work. The last time I asked, the answer was "no", but technology progresses, so it seems worth asking the same question every few years.
