It is a proper Jeep - a CJ-3B.
Although a "civilian" jeep, the CJ-3B was sold in huge quantities to armed forces across the globe. What springs to mind is The Netherlands, Switzerland, USA, and even
Canada had a few - and
assembled them!
The CJ-3B's for military customers were militarised by adding olive drab paint and blackout lighting, differing in detail from customer to customer. Besides procuring the CJ-3B, the US Government ordered a proper military-spec version too. This was dubbed the M606 and was exported as military aid to friendly nations.
