AWV was a part of the AWA brand. AWV was owned by AWA and manufactured vacuum tubes and later transistors .

I have a few early 60's portable radios with AWV transistors in situ. The old Germanium transistors do not age well, they often have to be replaced . The golden era of short wave links is long gone Mike
