Professor Harry Messel ,yes he was on tellie , I recall his TV lectures on Physics but didn't understand one word of it. He would scribble math and waffle on with his Canadian accent .

Hand signals Hmmm . I do remember the give way to the right rule and the utter confusion when a car appeared on your right while you were driving along a major road. You had to stop and give way and hold up the traffic behind, it was a silly rule .

The girl fiddling with the Geranium transistor has a AWV badge on her blouse. Amalagamated Wireless Valve .

My first car was a Triumph Herald coupe as in the film. They used nylon bushes in the front end and suffered breakdowns with a weak diff . It was a good handling car , stuck to the road well . Mine had Lotus wheels on it.
