Hi all
Menangle Military Muster Update
Less than a month to go before we launch the first ever MMM. Here are a few updates to help with planning.
The main funds raised go to Legacy with the remained for operating costs. To clarify we are asking a camping fee at this event of a $10.00 donation per day (capped at $20) regardless of days. Any help in shaking donation tins or activities for the public to raise money for legacy would be greatly appreciated.
Confirmed Exhibits and Displays Include:
Large Military Vehicle Display
Medieval Archery Society
Swordplay School of Theatrical Fencing and Stage Combat
Camden Air League
A Digital Projector in the evening (bring your pics on cd or memory Stick)
Re-enactments of trench Warfare
We are hoping for a Pipe Band
Trade Stalls on the Weekend
Catering will mean we can have a Saturday Night Dinner (cost unknown at the time of print) but please register your interest so we can confirm numbers. There will be BBQ sales both days on site.
• We will be holding a military Vehicle Gymkhana to test your skills and show off (Possibly laugh a bit too) Register on the day to participate.
• We will have dirt piles to traverse a small water and mud crossing with heavy vegetation perfect for photographs.
• There will be a grand parade and photograph line up both days
• Saturday night will feature a night drive and trek onto unknown grounds after dinner then return to the museum for a bonfire and warm drinks at the drovers camp as we warm up.
• Sunday Evening there is the Breakaway Dinner we have a room booked in Camden Valley Inn (about 15mins from the museum). They have log fires a full bar and bistro for the evening.
Meals are high quality and feature all tastes and price ranges.
How Can I get Involved? I’m glad you asked. We need helpers to act as club liaisons. There are many people that have vehicles but are not club members. These people would like to be involved with the weekend but will need a hand to get involved. You may wish to help promote the AMVCS at the event. We need helpers for the grans parades and the activities.
The main help we need is to promote the event. As this is our first time our budget is small. Please Share on facebook, email the flyers to everyone you can think of (available to download at
www.csmm.com.au) If you have any friendly places you can print off a flyer and stick in a window or on a noticeboard that would help a great deal. If you have anyone who may wish to display please encourage their attendance.
I thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you there. Best regards Andrew McVey.
