Good day Heath,
I picked my tyres up from Prices Spare Parts in Dalby, they are truck wreckers and I keep an eye on what comes in to their yard.
The farm machinery place up the road 500 metres, also get in tyres as they are always going to farm auctions.
The tyres of course are second hand but so long as they are round, structurally sound, with a reasonable amount of tread I buy them. I store them in an old fridge van which is always cool inside.
My trucks will never be doing any highway driving, so I am happy with second hand tyres.
I did drive my Bedford QLB on cross ply 12.00 20 bar treads the 200 klm to Brisbane and return many years ago, but the highway is far to busy to do that trip again, I think that is why tilt trays were invented.
Prices wreck a lot of blitzes so they might have a door or two, if you are still chasing doors.
Cheers Ken
