Thanks guys..yes the steering dampner looks to be an add on. Yes they recently came out of a vehicle but it was a lifted 80's chevy..go figure..i was trying to trade for a set of M211 axles..these were advertised as such with no picture..the kid tried to pull a quick drop switch on me..i had some 1600-20 michelin xls for him..he turned up at my yard early called me and asked if it was ok to transload..i said sure as i was only a few minutes away..
Little did the kid know i was exactly the guy to bring that stuff too haha..i have a Ford f60L that needs a set of combat rims.. so it worked out great. I was just scratching my head over the axles..left side steering and the offset chunk in the rear..i guess my ford having a centered rear threw me off..

Next question...whats the story with the pinion bearings for these units? Are they avaiable?
The rear has some slop to it that will have to be addressed before it finds its new home.
