Default Track

Hi Dale , all lead plugged / riveted track is made the same, so on one side the plug is on the inside and on the other the plug is on the outside. English and Canadian track that is riveted you just put the joiner pin so washer and cotter pin are all on the outside for ease of dismantling. This is why you may have noticed 3 or 4 links the wrong way round on your lead plugged, is that someone probably thought it was easier to get the lead out when the plug was on the outside, but as a rule the plugs on that side of the carrier should all be on the inside. The only differences that appear to have happened between NZ and Aussie carriers ,is that on NZ one's we lead with the "Toe" in the middle of the track and you guys are the other way round, as a point of difference, and this apparently was from the war years, Cheers.
