I am not sure of the differences between the mk2 and mk3 penguins. But the bottom end looks to be mk1 snowmobile on both. I don't know if the mk1s were converted to mk2s and 3s, or if only a portion of them were and the remainder were made from scratch to similar pattern. My mark two has all war dated tires, if that is any indicator.

Bruce: I believe the machine offered would be a good start towards making up a mk1. You may have to make a short trip to France or Russia (or was it the Ukraine) to see and measure up some of the survivors if you want to do it properly. If you want to be authentic, you need to modify a cadillac engine with a mix of military and civilian parts, and use a hydromatic transmission. But since it ends up getting hidden under the engine covers, you could use many varieties of engine/transmission combinations.
