Chris has it right on the brackets. Perhaps the manual should have said SMG as opposed to MG, but often the engineers were not soldiers. If you are missing any of those brackets the old deuces are one of the best places to find them, usually located in the two corners of the cab behind the driver. I think Brian Asbury may have them as well, or did at one time.

The LAW brackets were supposed to be installed on almost all the SMP vehicles of the time. They were under the seats of the M113, and could be installed on the outside of the hull of the Ferrets. There were a dished bracket about a foot or so long with a velcro strap that held the rocket launcher tube in place. They could be a little harder to find.

I would have to check my stock numbers for the introduction date, but the first aid kit of the 70s was the brown plastic box with the red cross on top. They are getting hard to find these days. Also common, but perhaps not official, were signals satchels filled with the appropriate items.
