Ive talked to Keith W about the gearbox and the one in the photo is incorrect. (it was in my the truck when i got her). Would you lads think its worth hunting down an original or just stick with this one? It does not have the lever to put it in reverse, nor does it seem it ever had one im thinking it may be post war gear box. Also i was thinking of using fiber washers instead of the webbing between the panels to stop wear and rubbing would this be just as good or not worth doing. I was lucky to get some hard wood from a work mate who had it laying around in his shed and will be perfect for the truck, even better it cost nothing. The motor is taking forever but i will have to get a move on as i think it will not be long before im up to that stage of putting it in. Seat covers are being made in the next 4 weeks by the Swag Man and also a new windscreen is on its way. So plenty going on all at once and will post more pics when more of the items are ready, would really like feedback on the gearbox and the use of the fiber washers, many thanks Shane.
