Is this close to what you are looking for?
This is from Ebay. It is for a Jeep. This one, I would say is not quite correct, however it claims to be.
Originally I think they were a std Ford item that became the U.S. quartermaster stores item. They were on Jeeps, Dodges, and were modified to the Australian LP2 Carriers. (two were welded together with a bolt on lid, for the carrier)
I suspect they were the same on the CMPs if not at home in Canada and Europe, at least in Australasia.
As I recall, the originals I have seen had a gap in the corners, and the four pieces at the corners were folded down, and welded at the lower edges.
I wait to see if others agree.
