There's a massive gap in the early Chilwell books, if the earliest British parts list is 1942 we've lost about four years + even if we discount the extinct MG carrier the Brens and Scouts were being made in the late thirties. I've seen a copy of a 1939 instruction book but that's as it.
Can we assume that the 63 prefix in the Chilwell codes is for carriers only and why the jump between the second numbers? I've asked Bovington for what they have but the answer was almost nothing and no master index for Chilwell books.
