Hanno: While I will agree that Ford is superior over Chevrolet in many ways, I might have to disagree on those seals. Having changed the rear inner axle seals on a couple of the fords, I can assure everyone it is not a job to be taken lightly with those split banjo housings. I would far prefer changing the exterior type seal that the chevs (and the carriers) have.

As Micheal posted, we have discussed these very seals a number of times on MLU. The Victor number is no longer any good, however Derk Leegwater does have NOS of these stocked at very reasonable prices. I bought 10 last year just to have on the shelf for future use.
