Lance, That is good. That is the British war time issue carrier jack. Your one might be dated post war, but I have 1940 and 1941 dated jacks
I have seen them with steel and aluminium bodies, and rated variously at 4 ton, and 4 1/2 ton. There are different manufactures as well. I cant remember what mine are, but remember that Britool made them.
I believe that in 1938 the extention was a one piece item, but by the time the Carrier Bren NoII, MkII was in production, they were a two piece.
(that means all U.C's had a two piece)
For the Canadians, the bracket on your carrier was designed to fit this jack, and was issued with no block of wood.
Lance, I assume you have yours because it is also part of the Humber kit?
