What truck and trailer combo did you use?

Don't be jealous - go to the Chevy dealer and demand to get a Duramax powered 2500 Silverado 4x4 Extended cab. Get the acres of leather seating, the Allison transmission, and don't skimp on the electrically extended, heated remote rearview mirrors.

What you won't need is any of that horsepower improvement junque that they want to sell you on eBay to boost hp. I haul my ( 12,000 pound rated ) float with Carrier or 15cwt aboard at 125km/hr all day long - just like they wern't even there.

Get a heavy trailer ( mine is a JD from in Flamboro, Ont.) with electric brakes on both axels. My brake controller is the lowest optioned Tekonsha Voyager - it does not have fancy options - but it installs easily ( plugs into the GM harness ) and is easy to operate. I use a 2 5/16 inch ball receiver hitch with a drawtite weight distributing hitch. Again - I never feel the trailer behind me.
