Together with another MLU member, I recently saw these vehicles which are located in the Netherlands, close to ports so shipping will not be a problem. Most of the restoration work will be in reconstructing a FAT body - which is an angle iron an sheet metal job mostly - from the remnants of two bodies present. The (rear) body is missing on most surviving FAT's, so most if not all restoration projects entail reconstruction of that part.

Hi Hanno, some years ago searching on the Internet I saw a photo of what seemed like dozens of FAT back bodies I think in some kind of yard in Portugal...never did keep the pic or location, but seemed like a treasure trove. Often wonder about that mysterious place and pic. Wondered if you might have known about it. Cheers Tim
