Post Re: AA gun allocations Slough

Hi David;

This is what I dug up regarding the AA gun allocation for Slough (June to September, 1940):

Slough was within the area of responsibility of 1st Anti-Aircraft Division, A.A. Command

Gun State of 1st AA Div as of 5 June 1940:

HAA guns:

48x 4.5 inch
39x 3.7 inch
26x 3 inch

LAA guns:

3x 3 inch
19x 40mm
3x Twin Vickers

Searchlights:

240x 90cm

There are no figures available for LAA guns or SLs for Slough, but the gun state of HAA guns was the following:

- on 11 Jul 40 = 28 guns
- on 21 Aug 40 = 28 guns
- on 11 Sep 40 = 28 guns

- on 30 Sep 40 = 36 guns divided between Slough, Langley, Weybridge

Hope this helps.

Cheers
