Default patience...

Hi guys,
The carrier project is still with the seller in Canada until this spring.... I had filed a BATF Form 6 amlmost a year ago but I made the mistake of attaching a cover letter that asked if - with the "Canadian Exemption" to the Weapons of War" import provisions - I really needed to file the Form 6.

Several atempts to follow up with emails and calls went unanswered. I now realize that I created an exception to some BATF' admin person's day and the application was diverted. Likely until some future date when they had the time to research the answer.

So I resubmitted the application in it's simplest form. So, April or May or June... when I get it back, I have a broker lined up and several movers to work with to make the final arrangements.

When I do get ti home, I will take a full photo inventory. I found that with digital cameras and apps like Picasa, it is realistic to photograph the dickens out of a project. I found out with the Humber Armoured car project that I relied heavily on the same efforts by other owners. We are planning to creat a joint Humber Armoured Car archive.

I know the pics from my first carrier restoration and from others, are still in film and prints that need scanning. I imagine there are others in the same state.

In the spring, when i really get my hands back int he carrier world, I will be happy to share my pics. After all, With my first carrier I was a neophyte and so many people helped me with letters (yes, back a while! ) photos, visits, and a few beers to get started.

CHeers
Jim
