There is a heavy grey Primer designed for just that purpose. It has a lot of zinc in it so while welding it it does not burn but wow does it smell bad and not great for you either so wear a repirator or do it outside!!! My nephew welds for a tank company and they use it as well. Yes it is at Crappy Tire as well at any gas welding supply store for refilling oxy tanks and at most body shop and welding gear suppliers.
