Default 2 Floating Watercraft Workshops

G'day Dianaa,

Thanks very much for the very informative reply.

He served at LABUAN ISLAND, NORTH WEST BORNEO, 2ND AUSTRALIAN FLOATING WATERCRAFT WORKSHOPS which was part of the Royal Corps Of Australian Electrical And Mechanical Engineers.

I have looked at the AWM Website and can only find 11 photographs but these don't show me any "signs", etc.

I may also be using the wrong terminology for the "tac / unit signs".

The Unit Sign information came from my mate's Uncle - he reproduced the "emblem" from coloured plastics and white-out fluid. At 89 years young that's a good effort - I hope I have my faculties at 89 - although somehow I doubt I will!!

I have tried searching for the Unit Sign but have had no success.

The information you have provided is much more than I am (and was) able to do and am very appreciative for your help. I'll pass onto my mate and see if he can "show" his uncle without letting "the cat out of the bag" for his ANZAC Day surprise.

In the meantime I'll keep hunting as well.

Again, with Many and Sincere Thanks,

Regards,

Darian.
