To the best of my knoledge we had one UC. It didn't work. When I was getting near the end of my time my Company Commander sent me back to the transport platoon. They had one UC and it was supposed to be used for casualty evacuation. Unfortunately it wouldn't run. The problem was with the Ford Double point distributer system which were not readily available in Korea. The platoon Sergean said if I could get it running it was mine. I had a friend at the LAD and figured he could solve the problem by brazing new points on on the plate. Sounded like a good idea to me and the Sergeant liked it. The platoon Commander came back from leave and said "he didn't want anyone in the platoon who would not be there for the long haul. " I was sent back to "C" Coy. But that is another story (LOL). I'm sorry but I am having a difficult time containing myself. I arrived back at "C" Coy and I just took over my old section. The new section commander didn't know wether to shit or go blind.
