I did a bit of pannel beating while it was wet outside, most of the holes closed over oxy and fencing wire will fix the rest.
The thread on the tyre carrier freed up nicely.
Rick I think the locking bar may be a 16" thing as there is a picture on the Willanthry restoration showing two tyre carriers back to back and the smaller one has this bar, also it appears on 16" carriers on refrence photos on Old CMP.
