Yes, I was thinking that the GMC looked interesting for recoveries. A bit thirsty as a daily driver and a bit pricey to insure for a few road trips a year....
As info there was a truck that looked like one of the F700 4x4 civilian pattern troop haulers in the last auction, described as being from Corrections Canada. It went for $1600, but was a couple of years older and didn't have a crane.
My transport costs would be less than yours......
