and yet the carrier was an iconic AFV of ww2 (for commonwealth forces) its wierd that you dont see them... there is a scene on the longest day when a Mk2 carrier breaks down on the sand, and the beach master gives the glacis plate a good whack and gets it going again.....other than this movie and a bridge too far i have not seen anymore on the silver screen. i maintain that HBO or someone could do some awesome stories perhaps involving the desert rats or one of the many carrier platoons during ww2 as i have no doubt there were many harrowing, exciting, full throttle moments to be told
