The gun is a Bofors 40mm anti aircraft gun. These were used pretty much by everyone and almost everywhere. Still are today in some navy orgs. The guns were assembled by different manufacturers under licence. Here in Canada Otis Fensom elevator co (OFEC) made ours.
I was told last year that 40mm ammo was still one of Bofors best sellers.
