I am not certain how "rubbery" the original rubber bits were but I can tell you that all the ones I have are no longer rubbery and are very fragile. Anyone attempting to sproing the antenna will break it! I intend one day (it's on the bucket list) to make a mold and cast new rubbery ones that will flex.
