Bummer that is, however, the cabin crew have ways. . . . . . .
1. Go in the bog and open the basin drain, keep ciggy in sink and blow "exhaust" smoke into basin drain where the vacuum system whips it all away before the smoke sensor sees it.
2. Crew only solution, very similar to 1 above but using galley drip tray below coffee/tea/hot water dispenser, another grid connected to the vacuum system. Only applicable whilst passengers sleep.

here; I'm off to Gatportairwick in a hour or so and have some cold ones to take in the 12V car fridge, which has been running off the mains all night and is nice and cold.
Never fear, Spinny-Ball will be quite controlled, in any event the Canadian pixie has a lot less altitude than me or Mrs Notton, we'll keep him in good order.
