There were three brigades in the 3rd Division, the 7th, 8th and 9th.
The 9th Canadian Infantry Brigade was made up of the following units:
-The Highland Light Infantry of Canada
-The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders
-The North Nova Scotia Highlanders
-9 Canadian Infantry Brigade Ground Defence Platoon (Lorne Scots)
The French Grey patch was 2" by 3" and worn on the shoulder just below the Canada patch.
