Hi Everyone,

Can anyone help me with the following search.

I am looking to retrace the service record for Roland Roussy who was involved in WWII. I believe his regiment was the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders.

I have asked Canadian Archives for his service record but it has been months without reply.

He was from Ottawa, and a close friend who died in service, with whom he served, was also from the SD&G. From WWII pictures, we can clearly see what looks like a stylized bear on his cap/beret. A few photos are from Wilhemshaven in north Germany shortly after the war was over.

Does anyone know if and where I can also find the documented history of the SD&G regiment during WWII so I can trace the displacements of the regiment as well as his displacements during the war. I remember him telling me he had left Ottawa by train to Halifax and landed in Glasgow, Scotland before going to southern England. He took part in D-Day in 1944 and ended up in Germany at the end of the war but I know very little in between.

Thanks for help anyone.
