If you are feeling creative..... you can make your own from 1"x1/8" flat strip suitably bent and drilled. Then add some 1/8" rod with a hook bent at the end and a 5/64" hole cross drilled for a cotter pin. Suitable springs are made in Australia (but you will need to cut to length). One source for the spring (in 30" lengths) and washer is McMaster-Carr, but they refuse to sell to anyone they think will end up exporting to Canada (even indirectly) so if you have a buddy just across the line who is willing to order for you (so the credit card billing address is USA) get them to buy it for you.
Been there, done that. I couldn't find the hood latch tree to pick some, so I had to make them. Take your time, it isn't that hard if you take your time.
