Eric's body data plate seems to read:

(missing word, maybe "BODY") MANUFACTURED BY
W.D. BEATH & SON LIMITED
TORONTO, CANADA
SERIAL No. 42 1 2C1 298

The body does look like a 2C1 body, all steel, welded construction.
