I think you will find that taking one link out of the track will shift your adjuster from its out limit to its inner limit. with every thing else staying the same.
Your carrier has a lot of good bits, and although I believe your track is probably 90% though its useable life,you are "in the game" by restoring this carrier, and while going through the restoration,you will likely locate some more.
If you follow Jordans thread and advice you cant go wrong. If you keep posting on here ( start a thread on your restoration) You will attract a following, and people will help you if they think you deserve it.
I was looking around the net a while back and found carrier rear axles, and carrier track for sale in holland. I dont know the details, or if its still for sale, but maybe Hanno, or someone in that part of the world can help.
