This chap is using two RAAF ATR2 sets .. these were built by Radio corps. here in Aust. Their large factory was in South Melbourne .. they traded under the ASTOR brand post war.

Another 101 set .. these were made by AWA in Sydney. These sets issued to AIF and used in ME and Malaya . In production from 1939 to 1941

The 101 set. Based on the pre-war British No. 1 set.. A surprisingly large number of these sets have survived.. the peculiar plugs are hard to find however.

101 sets in training. The antenna's feature a capacity hat.. this was to enhance the ground wave propagation...make the radiated field go 'sideways' rather than 'up'.
