Mystery storage bins

I have aquired 4 storage bins and have no Idea what they may be used for or what type of vehicle they belong to. Can anyone identify? Excuse the drawings...the Frau is on holidays and has the digi.

I may not have made it to BB2 but on the positive side I did pick up a few goodies today...enjoying a glass of grape while and thinking of you bunch around the camp fire at Hammonds Barn.

Cheers

Mike

That is the storeage bin that goes in front of the codriver (comander) on the mk1 carrier. The padding is for the codriver to kneel if neccessary. The little socket thing inside is to hold two spare sparkplugs. The reason for the little tunnels on the bottom is to allo wthe brake linkage to travel underneath it.

If you have one of these in the kind of condition your drawing suggests, I would be interested in it.

Hi Mike
Your drawings are probably better than the digital photos would have been. Excellent. If you end up with a second extra bin, I would also be interested.

Sage Advice?

Thanks for the opportunity Bob.

In all good sense and fairness I have to quote Jim Croce

You don't tug on Supermans cape,
You don't spit into the wind,
You don't pull the mask of the Old Lone Ranger
and You don't attempt to drive old trucks long distances. (alone)

Now having said that does not mean I won't try it again....

:teach:

One storage bin gone out west today.....3 left.

Cheers

Mike
