Armour Restoration
 

Dear resto pals,

It seems that all I do is slave away as a Defence Engineering type. I test various stuff, and get to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds ( now know as the Aberdeen Test Center ) now and again.

Much of the outside displays at ATC were in a sad state of repair, being much abused by the decades, and the recipients of precious little upkeep. I am happy to report that things are changing! There has been a lot of work done of late to spruce up the armour collection.

In the last few months I have seen at least a dozen armoured vehicles cosmetically restored and put back on display. I applaud the fine work that has been done - and look forward with anticipation to seeing the others in the queue get a similar treatment.


I will try to capture more images when I get down there next.
