I have Mike Starmer's booklet on the Caunter scheme . There seems to some points of difference regarding the actual shades of colour used .
The Aussies were using it too , this Ford 3 Tonner sports the Caunter finish , I think Greece maybe ? Mike |

1 ton chevs

Aussies in their 1 Ton GS Chevs at Matruh . Note : The 1 Ton utes with 123" wb had the short running boards , the boards finished at the cab , rather than continuing along the side to meet the rear mudguards as in the 15 cwt utes with 113" wb .
In this case , it appears that three tone the Caunter finish has been applied by spray gun. Mike |

Nigel,
Here is another shot of the Ford. Any luck on desert-tires yet? Mike, There was a "desert" Morris PU in Beltring on wednesday and thursday, but this didn't have the Caunter camouflage. Alex |

Hi Nigel, I do like your recent addition. Seems you and the laddies had a neat time at Belters this year.
Attached goes a pic of a Packard(?) in Caunter camouflage. |

Missed you at Beltring and for that matter in Holland. How did the house move go? Still looking for some sort of sand pattern tyres for the car 600x16 or maybe 750x16. Discovered whilst researching the Caunter pattern that the centre fan was either dark earth, grey or sand. We chose the grey, but I think it is a shade on the light side. Nigel |
Hi Hanno:
Packard, Chrysler, Chevrolet, another Chrysler. Gotta Love those American Heavy Iron Cars that the Brits, Canadians and even the Germans managed to impress. Bill |

Sorry to have missed you while you were here, next time over you will be my guest. I guess the next time we will meet is next year's Belters, or will you be coming over to some of the shows on mainland Europe? Quote:

Thanks for the ID. Well yes, officers need to travel in comfort, so what is better than some big yank cars? H. |
