Sydney wartime bus

I found this somewhere .

The NSW transport authorities built a fleet of these buses during 1942 as a wartime emergency . They were built on Ford chassis but the engine varied somewhat , some had V8's , some had diesels . This restored example was used post war by a farm school . The roof was made from a doped canvas or similar affair . They were in service until 1948 , hard to believe !
