Hi there

A brace of Ford 3-tonners taken at an RCOC Depot in the Netherlands in 1945.

How many differences can you spot between the two?

Bodies are different, one has a round hatch the other rectangular, front one missing Ford badge, headlamp blackouts on different sides, tyre direction reversed, '674' on spring bumper on one, painted on the other, what else??? :confused

As Vegemite pointed out, the bodies are different. The one on the left has 3 panels and no apparent spare tyre, the one on the right has 4 panels and an obvious spare tyre. I did a quick look-see in Gregg's Profile Series, but couldn't determine the two body style identification.

BTW "674" is the unit sign for First Canadian Army, 1 Cdn Ordnance Maintenance Company.

The one on the left has the early bumper bar with the large hole for the jewel, but the jewel is missing (see shadow on tyre), while the one on the right has the later bumper with the small holes.

Did these trucks have identical tool boxes and POW racks on both sides of the truck ?

Someone's ratted it already!

No wonder there aren't many to be found today.
